Features: In recent years, supply chain system integration and supply chain management have become the two most rapidly developing frontiers in contemporary industrial development. On one hand, the combination of industrial system integration technology and industrial management technology enables the widespread implementation of large-scale comprehensive high-tech projects within affordable costs. On the other hand, their integration into the industrial field has brought about a qualitative transformation in traditional industrial forms: after the digitalization of upstream and downstream process sequences in the era of large-scale industry in a conveyor-belt sense, a relatively more direct information processing industry cluster, including logistics and procurement, supply chain management, and the integration of information technology, has emerged along its terminal. The workshop economy of the large-scale industry era has advanced toward an information and exponential economy. This qualitative transformation has a crucial impact on China's industrial upgrading, overall economic efficiency, and sustainable growth. The integration of supply chain system integration and management is the lifeline for China's future economy to form core competitiveness. This book is the first release of research findings from the Peking University Liantai Supply Chain Research and Development Center. Using internationally popular supply chain management theories and detailed survey data as tools, it summarizes and logically analyzes China's supply chain management level. This book serves as a valuable research resource for those engaged in supply chain research, industrial theoretical research, and the management of the real economy, as well as a gateway to understanding the current state of China's supply chain. Using internationally popular supply chain management theories and detailed survey data as tools, the book provides a summary and logical analysis of the supply chain management levels of some key industries and enterprises in China in both theory and practice.
Chapter one reviews and looks ahead to China's economic growth and industrial development, highlighting the key role of supply chain management in future industrial development. Chapter two describes supply chain management theory, provides a set of important definitions and basic models, and explains how to use these definitions and models to identify problems and evaluate supply chain management levels. Starting from Chapter three, the main body of the book begins. Researchers conducted in-depth surveys on the supply chain management levels of several key industries and typical enterprises in China, using the collected data as a basis and analyzing it according to internationally popular supply chain management theories.
