What are the treatment options for balanoposthitis?

Patient's question:

Hello doctor, I would like to consult some questions. Recently, I don't know why I often feel some pain in my glans, and at first I didn't pay attention, but later I found it getting worse. Moreover, there is purulent discharge from the foreskin and glans. I went to a big hospital for examination and was told it was balanoposthitis. Is this disease easy to treat?

Doctor's answer:

Always maintain local cleanliness to prevent secondary infection; ② For serous discharge and sloughing, use 3% boric acid solution or 0.1% Ringer's lactate for wet dressing; ③ Corticosteroid ointment can be used for non-infectious subacute stages; ④ In chronic stages or during dry desquamation, tetracycline-cortisone ointment can be applied; ⑤ If there is obvious infection, fever, and lymph node enlargement, systemic antibiotics such as cephalothin (0.5g, 3–4 times/day orally) or ofloxacin (0.2g, twice daily) can be used; ③ For those with phimosis, circumcision should be performed after the inflammation subsides. During balanoposthitis, the affected area can be soaked in 1/5000 potassium permanganate solution and then treated with an anti-inflammatory ointment. For allergic balanoposthitis, oral antihistamines and topical corticosteroid ointments should be used. If phimosis or balanitis edema prevents cleaning or drainage, and the inflammation does not subside with standard treatment,
