Patient's question:
Inner thigh base, near the scrotum, scaling, redness, pain, occasionally white on the glans. I take daily baths. How should I treat this?Doctor's answer:
Always maintain local cleanliness to prevent secondary infection; ② For serous and purulent discharge, use 3% boric acid solution or 0.1% Ringer's lactate for wet dressing; ③ Corticosteroid cream can be used for non-infectious subacute stage; ④ In chronic stage or dry desquamation, tetracycline and hydrocortisone ointment can be applied; ⑤ If there is obvious infection, fever, and lymph node enlargement, systemic antibiotics such as cephalexin (0.5g, 3-4 times/day orally) or ofloxacin (0.2g, twice daily) can be used; ③ For patients with phimosis, circumcision should be performed after the inflammation subsides. For balanoposthitis, immerse in 1/5000 potassium permanganate solution and apply anti-inflammatory cream. For allergic balanoposthitis, oral antihistamines and topical corticosteroid cream should be used.
