To facilitate reading, we have specially invited Zhang Wenzhi, a graduate of Peking University, to mark the first volume of the collected works and the thirty odes, as well as Peng Xianping, Li Rencu, and Wei Ziqiang, who have respectively marked the second, third, and fourth volumes. We thank them for their careful annotations and significant efforts amidst their busy schedules. The collection is preceded by a brief biography of my grandfather. At the end of the collection, there is Chen Yan's "Biography of Zhang Gong, Left Vice Minister of the Ministry of Rites." Excerpts from Zhou Qiuguang's edited "Collected Works of Xiong Xiling" are included, featuring Xiong Xiling's annotations from the Changsha School of Classical Studies and my grandfather's comments. Zhou Qiuguang presented me with "The Biography of Xiong Xiling," and I hereby extend my gratitude to him.
