Patient's question:
Divorced for more than a year, I haven't been bothered by anything. The result of the thorough examination at the hospital was no sperm!!Doctor's answer:
Your condition has severe oligospermia and asthenozoospermia. Common causes of oligospermia include: (1) congenital testicular dysgenesis or cryptorchidism leading to impaired spermatogenesis (2) varicocele, hydrocele of the tunica vaginalis (3) reproductive tract inflammation (4) immune suppression and endocrine disorders (5) chromosomal abnormalities, particularly sex chromosome aberrations, which severely interfere with sperm density and motility (6) the use of drugs affecting spermatogenesis, pesticides, heavy metals, radiation, smoking, and alcohol intoxication can all inhibit sperm production. However, in a small number of patients, despite thorough examinations, no cause for sperm increase can be found, which is known as idiopathic oligospermia.
