Features: A history of modern China from 1840 to 1949, it is a profound history of the Chinese nation suffering from the aggression of capitalist powers and the oppression of feudalism, as well as a revolutionary struggle history of the people of all ethnic groups in China striving for the independence and liberation of the Chinese nation, pursuing freedom and happiness. In the process of studying the revolutionary history of ethnic minorities in China from 1840 to 1940, we strive to use the materialist conception of history as a guide from Marxism to conduct a comprehensive, fair, and objective examination and evaluation of the revolutionary struggles of ethnic minorities in China during this period under different historical backgrounds. The book adopts the principle of combining points and surfaces in its writing method: vertically, it takes the national revolutionary struggles such as the resistance against imperialist invasion, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Revolution, the May Fourth Movement, the Land Revolution, the Anti-Japanese War, and the War of Liberation as the main thread, fully introducing and reflecting the status and role of various regions and ethnic groups in the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal struggles. Horizontally, it focuses on exploring the important revolutionary struggles of ethnic minorities against class oppression and national oppression, against feudal and backward rule, against ethnic division, and against imperialist aggression and conspiratorial activities during the modern history process.
