Features: In general terms, the philosophy of life is a modern and contemporary philosophy. This is because in the West, philosophy has evolved from traditional rationalism and scientism into systematic doctrines of irrationalism and humanism. More precisely, it has developed from the theory of subjective duality of intellect into holistic doctrines that emphasize emotion and will. Daoist philosophy of life has historically formed and grown spontaneously in China, so it has its historical foundation and its own distinctive characteristics. It is difficult to determine a specific date for the formation of Daoist philosophy of life, as it was not completed by a single thinker, but it must have emerged during a certain period. The emergence of religious forms did not necessarily bring about the philosophy of life, although Daoism has always harbored profound philosophical concepts of life since its inception. After the Six Dynasties period, Daoist theory was crude and immature, with more religious doctrines and regulations than philosophical principles. The few philosophical explanations provided were lacking in philosophical support. In intellectual debates with Buddhism, Daoism was often at a disadvantage.
