Features: A calendar is a standard scale for time, providing a reference standard and calculation method for the duration of natural time, daily records, time standards, and chronological order. The primary function of a calendar is to reflect the changing patterns of years, months, days, solar terms, seasons, and holidays. The Wannianli (Ten Thousand-Year Calendar) was a popular almanac in the during the Qing Dynasty and was officially designated as the Yuding Wannianli (Imperially Decreed Ten Thousand-Year Calendar) by the Qing Emperor, where "wannian" refers to the long-lasting rule of the empire. Today, it is commonly referred to as the "lunar calendar," "lunar calendar," "Xiali," or "old calendar," and was used in China before the Republic of China era. The Gregorian calendar was created by Roman Emperor Julius Caesar in 46 BC and was known as the "Julian calendar." In 1582, the Julian calendar was revised and gradually improved to become the Gregorian calendar, which is now widely used. It is also called the "solar calendar," "Western calendar," or "new calendar." This calendar system was adopted worldwide in the 20th century. Our country began using the Gregorian calendar in 1912, when Sun Yat-sen established the Republic of China (the first year of the Republic of China). On September 27, 1949, the session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference passed the resolution to adopt the "Gregorian calendar system," meaning the solar calendar. The part of this book covers the calendar from 1901 to 2100 (200 years). It is organized by month, with one page for each year, and features a dual-color printing for convenience. Readers can easily understand the Gregorian calendar, lunar calendar, zodiac signs, weekdays, and holidays. The second part introduces common, interesting, and practical cultural knowledge, including 10 aspects such as health preservation, health care, etiquette, reading, and travel. It is closely tied to the lives of readers, with fresh and rich content, making it an indispensable practical life guide. This book focuses on promoting and introducing common cultural knowledge, while briefly explaining complex calendar knowledge and traditional folk culture, offering an innovative approach among many calendar books. It provides valuable references for the professional and knowledgeable groups of the new century.
