I love museums. I really do. There's a mysterious aura that connects you to the depths of time, dark and quiet, making me feel that everything in this world has its origin, and no person or thing can be disconnected from history. This book is like a paper museum I've imagined, with exhibits from all over the world—each one belongs to a different museum in reality, yet they are all shared resources of this world. I selected them based on my interest and intuition, and they embody the wonders or secrets of the world—natural, human, scientific, cultural, geographical. I didn't categorize them in the usual way but arranged them in approximate chronological order. Starting with a 500-million-year-old fossil of a crinoid, the exhibits progress through the ages until they pause at a 200-year-old spring celebration. The history is vast, as if witnessing a life being born in darkness, wandering through a long corridor, growing in an ever-expanding world, and flying toward the light at the exit. A book is like a journey, and this journey was particularly special to me. I felt like I had become a child again, receiving a baptism of knowledge and imagination, and regaining my curiosity about the world.
