Features: The Standing Council of the Chinese Society of World Economy decided in 2004 to establish the Pu Shan World Economy Research Award Fund. It agreed to rename the annual President's Award of the Chinese Society of World Economy as the Pu Shan Award of the Chinese Society of World Economy starting from 2004, while continuing to use the selection method of the President's Award. Approximately 40 papers published each year are recommended by journals such as World Economy, Journal of International Economic Review, and Journal of World Economy and Politics, as well as by the judges of the Pu Shan Award. The judges of the Pu Shan Award vote to select 20 winning papers, 10 selected papers, and the rest as recommended papers. They represent the outstanding research achievements of the Chinese world economy academia in that year. With the advent of the era of economic globalization, China's participation in the division of labor and resource allocation in the global framework has become an irreversible trend, which will inevitably lead to competition between China and other countries. The Chinese Society of World Economy, in cooperation with the China Social Sciences Academic Press, compiled and published the winning papers of the 2004 Pu Shan Award of the Chinese Society of World Economy as Frontier Issues in World Economy No. 1. The Frontier Issues in World Economy series will cover all fields of the world economy, with different focuses each year, aiming to provide references for experts, scholars, and managers of governments and enterprises.
