What causes a hernia?

Patient's question:

I have a colleague who went to the hospital for a thorough examination. The doctor said it was a hernia. I want to know what causes a hernia?

Doctor's answer:

The composition of hernia is closely related to the patient's physique, mainly due to reasons such as coughing, hiccups, excessive exertion, abdominal weight excess, difficult defecation, pregnancy, excessive crying in children, and weakening of abdominal wall strength in the elderly. The creation of negative pressure in the abdominal cavity leads to an increase in intra-abdominal pressure, forcing free abdominal organs such as small intestine, cecum, omentum, bladder, ovaries, and undergoing surgery to move into another position. Organs such as fallopian tubes enter another part of the body through normal or abnormal weakness, scars, or pores.
