What is varicocele?

Patient's question:

I am 18 years old. I vaguely remember that a long time ago, there was a vascular cluster in my left scrotum, which was quite noticeable, but I never felt any discomfort and didn't know it was varicocele. Until this summer vacation, I planned to get a circumcision, and the doctor told me I had varicocele, so he performed both surgeries together. The surgery was on August 2, and it has been 13 days so far. In the days immediately after the surgery, I felt that the vascular cluster seemed smaller, but in the past one or two days, I noticed that the veins have become even thicker and there is mild pain.
Hello, did this develop as a complication? If so, that's too soon. Besides, I didn't feel any discomfort before the surgery, but now I do. What is going on? Is there anything I can do about it?

Doctor's answer:

Hello! I have the same condition as you, and I recently want to have surgery with some questions to ask you for advice? Patients with this condition can understand standard treatment while using dietary therapy as supplementary treatment in daily life. It is crucial to avoid extreme hunger or overeating in daily diet, and never binge eat. Rest more during the day, and do not eat recklessly. Patients must always maintain a cheerful mood and eat appropriately to avoid unnecessary interference with the complete recovery of male diseases.
