Features: Order and Its Discontents: The Trajectory of International Developments in 2003 is a research outcome by researchers of the China Institute of International Studies, following the Comprehensive Chronicle of International Events in 2002. It is no easy task to compile a authoritative chronicle. It requires the authors to thoroughly review authoritative domestic and foreign publications, reflect deeply, and then record the key points in concise language to serve as a valuable reference. For the 2003 edition, we have added two important sections: one is a preface of over a thousand words in some regional, national, and international organization chronicles, providing a concise overview of the situation to highlight the key points; the other is the inclusion of 11 important reference documents for future reference.
