The poems are sourced from the Ming Chenghua edition of The Records of Confucius, Yan, and Meng, the Jiajing edition of The Records of the Three Movements, the Wanli edition of The Records of Meng, the Tianqi edition of The Records of the Three Movements, the Yongzheng edition of The Records of the Three Movements, the Guangxu edition of The Records of the Recompiled Three Movements, as well as relevant books such as the Zou County Records of various dynasties. The time frame for the collected poems ranges from the Han Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty. Within this period, all poems related to Mengzi or his mother, Mengmu, and Zisi that could be found from stone inscriptions and historical records were included. When collecting relevant materials, the book adheres to the principle of using the original source. For those poems that are available both in stone inscriptions and printed versions, the stone inscriptions are used. If the stone inscriptions are destroyed but there are multiple printed versions, the earliest edition is used. The book includes content such as: "Leaving a Poem After Paying Tribute to the Tomb of the Second Sage, Lord of Zou," "Respecting the Ancestral Temple of the Predecessor Master, Lord of Zou," "Epitaph for Mengzi of the Weak Zou," "Ode for the Right Minister and Prime Minister Passing Through Zou to Mengzi," and "Poem After the First Visit to the Ancestor of the Second Sage, Lord of Zou," among others.
