Features: The cold gaze behind the crosshairs is as sharp and icy as a blade. A moment of weakness, a fleeting sympathy, or a brief hesitation could make one's own forehead the target. Every battle is a fight to the death, every shot a confrontation of life against life. Without having experienced such life-or-death confrontations, no one has the right to condemn the cruelty and bloodshed of snipers, nor to criticize their cold-bloodedness. War demands that they face death without a sound, even when the brains of their targets splatter in the scope, even when their comrades or even loved ones fall beside them. The joy of hunting deer, the gentle scolding of a mother, the beautiful home after the war, perhaps even the faint smile of a young son learning to walk—waves of emotions—yet when they raise the gun, everything returns to calm. To wait calmly; to kill calmly; to face death at any moment calmly. An outstanding sniper, a soul forged in ice and fire, is tossed in the whirlpool of love and hate.
