Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-10-01
Features: Religious Theory is the author's own definition of religion, proposed based on extensive research into various works on religious studies. It reorganizes the research methods and content of religious studies and systematically discusses the Marxist view of religion. The book also explores the origins of religion, the deities of ancient civilizations around the world, the nature of deities, and the issue of witchcraft. The book is divided into three volumes: Volume I, Introduction, Theory of Deities; Volume II, Theory of Worship; Volume III, The Function of Religion. The author states in the book: "Some have said that a work need only present its own views. This can save much paper, reduce many troubles, and save both the author and the reader a great deal of time. However, the nature of science requires the author to provide sufficient and reliable evidence for their views and to make arguments. Otherwise, any new view, the best outcome is still a hypothesis that is neither believable nor unbelievable." Since this book discusses religion, it is titled Religious Theory. An introduction or general overview of religious studies is placed at the beginning of the book as the introduction."
