Symptoms of prostatitis issues mostly manifest suddenly, accompanied by acute pain and urinary tract irritation. Typical symptoms include frequent urination, urgent urination, and dysuria. If obstruction is present, symptoms may include hesitancy in urination, intermittent urine stream, or even acute urinary retention. Additionally, there may be pain in the perineum and suprapubic region, along with discomfort and pain in the external genitalia. Systemic symptoms can include chills, high fever, nausea, and vomiting. Acute cystitis may also occur, and after urination, white secretions may often be discharged from the urethral orifice.
