Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-06-01
Features: This book still follows the established editorial format, divided into two parts: Mid-Length Novels and Short Stories. The works of the authors in each section are arranged in order of the number of award votes received. To help readers understand the authors' background and further grasp their works, we have included author photos, brief biographies, and articles on their writing about novels before and after each story. This book compiles all the winning works of the 10th Baihua Award, totaling 10 mid-length novels and 10 short stories by 18 authors. These winning works were selected through a national readers' vote from 115 mid-length novels and 141 short stories published in this magazine (including supplements) from 2001 to 2002. This fully reflects the popular, widespread, and social recognition of the "Story Monthly Baihua Award," as well as the democratic, open, fair, and impartial award principles that this magazine has consistently upheld for 20 years. As a result, it has earned the recognition and praise of many writers and readers, enhancing the profound social influence of the "Story Monthly Baihua Award" and playing a positive role in promoting the flourishing of contemporary Chinese fiction.
