The folk activities documented in this book are rooted in the Beijing region, with a vertical scope of (approximately 150 years) and a horizontal scope of (extending to the northern part of China). The book is rich in folk knowledge and includes numerous anecdotes and interesting stories about famous figures celebrating the New Year, making it both informative, engaging, and entertaining. The language of the book is colloquial and localized, with a red cover design that exudes the festive atmosphere of the New Year. Nearly 100 illustrations further enhance the visual appeal.
