Patient's question:
I am from a different place and would like to ask Director Xie for help arranging my child's surgery. Is that possible? Last year, we visited your hospital. The doctor said the child was too young and that it should be done after the second birthday. What should I do?Doctor's answer:
Hypospadias is a common congenital malformation of the male lower urinary tract and external genitalia. The urethral meatus is located on the ventral side of the penis, near the normal proximal urethral meatus at the perineum. Most cases are accompanied by incomplete penile development. It is one of the most common congenital anomalies of the pediatric urogenital system. Urethroplasty is the only treatment for hypospadias. The surgery requires complete correction of penile curvature, positioning of the urethral meatus at the glans penis, standing urination, and normal sexual function in adulthood.
