He led his troops in many major battles and commanded the 2nd Belorussian Front all the way to the Baltic Sea. He made significant contributions to defeating Nazi Germany. On June 24, 1945, Rokossovsky served as the grand marshal of the parade and participated in the Victory Parade in Moscow.
