Features: The reputation of the renowned modern French female writer Marguerite Yourcenar was at its zenith. French readers loved her, European readers loved her, North American readers also loved her, and all those familiar with her adored her. People admired her grandeur, her sense of weariness, her profound historical knowledge and deep philosophical insights, her relentless pursuit of eternal values and her sincere admiration for art, her encyclopedic erudition, and her unassuming lifestyle, far from the media's flowers and applause, who preferred to live outside the circle of celebrities. However, most people still struggled to fully grasp the depth and profundity beneath her seemingly detached demeanor.
