Features: The 3rd Shanghai Nanotechnology Science and Industry Development Symposium was held in Shanghai from May 17-18, 2006. This is the third major domestic academic exchange conference held under the implementation of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission's Nanotechnology Special Action Plan over the past five years. The conference attracted widespread attention from the scientific community, the business sector, and the investment community. Over 300 people registered for the event, and more than 200 papers were presented and published during the conference. These papers primarily reflect the series of significant advancements Shanghai has made in recent years in research fields such as nanomaterials and nanosstructures, nanobiomedicine, nanoelectronics, nanofabrication, nanometry and characterization. At the same time, they also showcase the latest achievements Shanghai has attained in the development of the nanotechnology industry, base construction, and talent cultivation.
