The Tajik people living in Tashkurgan believe themselves to be the closest to the sun, known as the "Han-Ri Tianzong." This is a nation skilled in singing and dancing, blending joy and sorrow into their performances, using music and dance to express their emotions. There are unique and numerous festivals here, each with a moving history and legend behind it. Tashkurgan was built during the period of the Panto Kingdom in the Wei and Jin dynasties. After the Tang Dynasty unified the Western Regions, it became the residence of the Cengling Garrison. In the early years of the Yuan Dynasty, large-scale construction projects were undertaken. During the Qing Dynasty, the Puli Hall and Puli County were successively established here.
