If you suspect your child has ADHD, what should you do?

Patient's question:

The child has recently been shaking his head and squinting involuntarily while watching TV. I suspect he might have ADHD. What should I do now?

Doctor's answer:

If you suspect that your child is extremely hyperactive, you should take your child to the doctor for tests such as an electroencephalogram to rule out the influence of disease factors. Children are prohibited from playing computer games or watching TV for long periods. Encourage children to engage in more activities with purpose to reduce stress and relax. Parents, teachers, and classmates should not discriminate against or physically punish children with ADHD, nor should they insult their dignity or damage their self-esteem. This will only worsen the child's condition.
