Features: This book systematically elaborates on the important field of "Laryngeal Microsurgery," a branch of "Laryngeal Surgery" that has developed in the field of laryngology in recent years. The book is divided into four parts.
Part 1: Theoretical Basis of Laryngeal Microsurgery Development and Application, primarily discusses the conceptual meaning of "Laryngeal Surgery" and "Laryngeal Microsurgery," the history of surgical instruments and related disciplines, and the laryngeal microscopic anatomy and vocal mechanism related to surgery.
Part 2: Basic Operations and Surgical Techniques in Laryngeal Microsurgery, in addition to explaining essential surgical equipment, anesthesia methods, surgical indications and contraindications, techniques for glottic exposure, surgical design, technical difficulties, and the management of complications, focuses on discussing the basic surgical methods of laryngeal microsurgery: microscopic resection, microflap techniques (microflap resection, lateral microflap, medial microflap), submucosal injection techniques, mucosal stripping techniques, and epidermal stripping techniques.
Part 3: Clinical Applications of Laryngeal Microsurgery for Typical Lesions, primarily elaborates on the conventional surgical methods for benign vocal cord lesions: vocal cord nodules, vocal cord polyps, Reinke's edema, vocal cord cysts, laryngeal papillomas, and chronic laryngitis. It also proposes the author's views and invites discussion with peers on the staging, naming, early diagnosis, and minimally invasive treatment of pre-malignant vocal cord lesions and early vocal cord cancer.
Part 4: Voice Training, which is an important (auxiliary) therapeutic method for laryngeal microsurgery. The book focuses on explaining the preparation work, training techniques, and voice training for typical cases of voice training.
This book is currently a reference for systematically discussing laryngeal microsurgery. All important surgical methods are illustrated with images and diagrams, making the content visually rich, concise, easy to master and apply, and holds significant reference value for clinicians to expand their knowledge in this field and improve their ability to solve clinical problems.
