Features: The spring of 2003 was an unsettled spring, an unforgettable spring for the Chinese people, and a "gray" spring for the development of China's tourism industry. China's tourism industry will grow and mature through the shock of the crisis, like a phoenix reborn from the ashes, and will achieve new brilliance. During the coexistence phase with SARS, it can generally be called dancing with shackles, meaning it was difficult to dance gracefully, but we could still dance skillfully. Our judgment on the market, including many macro decisions and corporate decisions, should be based on this foundation. This book collects outstanding research achievements from various fields of the tourism industry, including officials, industry, and academia, covering topics such as the impact of SARS, response measures, crisis management, situation analysis, policy dynamics, revitalization strategies, and international lessons. It provides both insightful analysis and evaluation of the current situation and rational judgments and ideas for future recovery and development. It is an objective summary of the tourism industry's fight against SARS and its struggle for survival, as well as a scientific guide for the post-SARS recovery and revitalization phase of the tourism industry. While fully reflecting practicality, many of its viewpoints and ideas also hold important reference and guiding value for the long-term development of the tourism industry.
This book is divided into five parts: Policy Dynamics; Research Reports; Special Topics and Discussions; Online Interviews; International Dynamics. It combines theory and practice, macro and micro, analysis and prediction, suggestions and countermeasures, providing a comprehensive and in-depth analysis and discussion of the future development of China's tourism industry. The book analyzes the severe impact on China's tourism industry since the outbreak of SARS. The impact of SARS on the tourism industry can be divided into three stages: the stage of full efforts to combat SARS; the coexistence stage with SARS, which marks the normalization of social mentality; and the post-SARS period, which marks the normalization of social life. China's tourism market has begun to recover and is fully revitalized. The book thoroughly discusses that the comprehensive revitalization of China's tourism industry should focus on demand revitalization as the main body; image revitalization as the leading force; quality revitalization as the foundation; product revitalization as the basis; and investment revitalization as the driving force, covering five aspects. It also proposes practical countermeasures and suggestions for the comprehensive revitalization of China's tourism industry: establishing a systematic operational mechanism; launching a tourism health project; promoting coordinated publicity and promotion of corporate operational mechanisms; strengthening market regulation; improving the policy environment; and further promoting the long-term development of tourism.
Target Audience: Relevant departments at all levels of government, tourism industry at all levels, teachers and students of tourism majors in universities and colleges, theoretical researchers, as well as enterprises and individuals concerned about China's tourism industry.
