Second, some selected articles were chosen from the papers submitted by the authors to the symposium on the reform of urban public utilities, such as "Research on the Role of Government in the Privatization of U.S. Prisons," "Why Privatize Public Utilities," "Investment and Financing Solutions for Urban Public Utilities in China: A Discussion Based on PPP Models," "Privatization of Water Markets in the U.S., U.K., and France and Its Reference Significance for China," "The Application of Asset Securitization in Urban Public Utilities—Taking Tianjin Chuangye Environmental Protection as an Example," "Marketization and Path Optimization of Urban Public Utilities in China," "Research on the Reform of Nanchang City's Urban Bus Service Industry and Government Regulation," "Exploration of the Regulatory System Reform of Public Utility Industries in Shenzhen," "Differences in Value Orientation Between Large and Small Shareholders and Shareholder Interest Maximization: A Case Study of Shanghai Dasha Public Utility Group Co., Ltd.," and "Evolution and Analysis of Incentive Regulation in the Network Industry." Third, some papers were included after the authors' consent from the papers submitted to the 2005 Annual Meeting of the China Industrial Economics Research and Development Promotion Association and the Symposium on Industrial Organization and Government Regulation, such as "Classification Regulation and Coordination Policy After Market Structure Restructuring in Monopolistic Industries," "Economic Transition, Decentralization of Regulation, and Reform of the Electricity Industry: An Economic Analysis Based on China's Experience," "Analysis of the Prepayment System for Medical Expenses and the Price Regulation Reform of Medical Services in China," and "Case Study of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Regulation for Traditional Chinese Medicine Preparations." Fourth, some articles were specially provided by the authors for "Frontier Issues of Regulation and Competition," such as "Research on China's Enterprise Merger Filing Standards" and "Latin American Privatization of Public Utilities and Lessons Learned."
