Features: Currently, household biogas has achieved rapid development and widespread application in rural China. As a biomass energy source, biogas can be used for lighting, cooking, and bathing, as well as for power generation and heating, replacing gasoline and diesel. The use of biogas not only effectively develops energy, protects the rural ecological environment, and improves farmers' quality of life but also offers an inexhaustible and clean energy source with broad utilization prospects. However, as a flammable gas, improper use of biogas can lead to fires, suffocation, and endanger property and life safety. Therefore, safety issues cannot be ignored. Currently, some rural biogas users in China still lack basic knowledge of scientific management and safe use of biogas, and accidents caused by improper use of biogas frequently occur. Thus, it is urgent to guide farmers on how to use biogas safely and scientifically. To address the common problems in rural household biogas use, we have organized the writing of the "Household Biogas Safe Use Manual," which introduces the basic knowledge of how to use biogas correctly and safely in a diagrammatic form.
