Features: "New Perspectives on Political Issues" is a theoretical research series that focuses on political issues with new topics, new ideas, and new methods. This research series first presents itself to readers in the form of "problems," differing from previous studies that begin and end with "theory." It aims to provide theoretical rigor and analysis on some of the issues facing contemporary China and world politics. In terms of topic selection, it does not focus on the relatively fixed areas of political science but takes a more unique perspective to examine major political issues that people are both familiar with and unfamiliar with. This book is the author's third work on East Asian issues after "The Path to Modernization in Singapore: Process, Model, and Cultural Choice" and "East Asian Model and Value Reconstruction: Comparative Political Analysis." It follows the path of party politics development, conducting a comparative study of the development, transformation, and democratization processes of party politics in East Asian countries and regions since World War II, especially in the past 20 years. However, the research does not include countries such as China, North Korea, and Vietnam.
