Features: Weihai is located at the eastern tip of the Shandong Peninsula, situated at the deepest point where mainland China extends towards the ocean, and serves as the forefront of opening-up in northern China. As an economic hub in Northeast Asia, its export-oriented economy is highly active. An increasing number of foreign-funded enterprises have settled in Weihai, leading to a significant shortage of skilled workers proficient in foreign languages. Recognizing this trend, our institution seized the opportunity to launch a series of specialized courses tailored to market demands, creating a favorable platform for adults to pursue further education.
Weihai is relatively rich in mineral resources, with 45 types of minerals discovered so far. Among them, 13 are metallic minerals, 30 are non-metallic minerals, 1 is an energy mineral, and 1 is a water and steam mineral. A total of 17 types of minerals have been proven to have reserves. The total value of these proven reserves is 200 billion yuan, while the potential total value of all 45 types of minerals is 720 billion yuan. Gold, magnetite, quartz sand, granite, zircon sand, beryllium, and geothermal resources hold significant importance in the country and the province, respectively.
Weihai boasts a vast maritime area, with abundant biological resources in its shallow seas and intertidal zones. On land, the main grain crops include wheat and corn, while the primary cash crops are peanuts and soybeans.
