Features: Since the publication of The Complete Collection of Chinese Elementary School Student Essays and The Complete Collection of Chinese Middle School Student Essays, they have been warmly welcomed by readers. They have been reprinted numerous times, and even the sequels and the second sequels were not enough to meet the readers' needs. Recently, we have received many letters from readers. They all have a common request: they hope that the two sets of Essay Collections can include outstanding essays with distinctive characteristics of the times in recent years, so that they can enter the 21st century with a fresh look. The readers' wishes are the compilers' goals. This time, based on the readers' requests, we have made significant revisions to this book: most of the students' essays have been replaced; each selected essay has been commented on in detail; writing guidance articles targeted at specific needs have been arranged at the beginning of the book, and novel and practical writing exercises have been designed at the end. It can be said that compared to the first edition, the revised edition has made a qualitative leap.
When The Complete Collection of Chinese Elementary School Student Essays was published in the early 1990s, we told the readers a story in the Preface. Here, allow me to repeat it at length: In front of the monkey hill in the zoo, a young mother was holding her child, watching the mischievous monkeys jumping and playing on the rocks. The mother said, "Humans evolved from monkeys." The child asked, "Then why haven't these monkeys turned into humans?" The mother replied, "Because they don't like to work, don't want to walk on their own, and always need their mother to hold them." Dear readers, what inspiration does this story give us when reading this book?
