Features: After entering the new century, the development of education in our country has also entered a new period. The 1999 National Education Conference and the Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Deepening Education Reform and Comprehensively Promoting Quality Education pushed China's education reform and development to a new climax. The Basic Education Project and the Teacher Education Project in the "21st Century Education Revitalization Plan" approved by the State Council and issued by the Ministry of Education have been launched. The new basic education curriculum standards outline is about to be promulgated, and the whole-person training for primary and secondary school teachers has begun. The further training and development of teachers in the new century also need new ideas, which cannot be limited to the study of teaching materials and methods in primary and secondary schools as before. It is more important to update educational concepts, master advanced educational theories, understand the development of subject knowledge, broaden horizons, and cultivate scientific research abilities to adapt to the needs of education reform and achieve the sustainable development of teachers' own quality. To engage in further training and development, there must be teaching materials, and the "Newly Compiled Series of Continuing Education for Primary and Secondary School Teachers" was introduced under this background.
