Last year, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the call for learning from Comrade Lei Feng issued by the older generation of proletariat revolutionaries led by Mao Zedong, a large-scale "Learn Lei Feng Spirit, Establish New Era Style" youth reading and education activity was organized in Hunan, the hometown of Lei Feng. The "Learn Lei Feng Spirit, Establish New Era Style" movement swept across the land of Hunan. In response to the submitted manuscripts, the organizing committee invited relevant experts in the province to form a judging panel, which selected 10 first-prize, 20 second-prize, and 30 third-prize essays. Additionally, more than 500 outstanding manuscripts were carefully reviewed and revised, compiled into the book "Selected Outstanding Essays of Hunan Youth on 'Learn Lei Feng Spirit, Establish New Era Style'" for the exchange and reference of primary and secondary school students.
