Features: Chemistry is an experimental science. Whether from the perspective of its purpose in chemical research: understanding the structure, properties, and changes of substances; or from its applications: preparing special materials, utilizing chemical properties and changes to serve production and life, success cannot be achieved without experiments. Learning chemistry requires not only theoretical courses but also practical training through chemical experiments. Although some chemical experiments were conducted in middle school, due to limited conditions, most lacked systematic practical training. As a fundamental chemical experiment, its primary goal is "basic training," enabling students to master basic techniques and lay a foundation for further study in subsequent and specialized courses. This is similar to learning metalworking: first, one must master the basics of turning, chiseling, and welding, focusing on the technique rather than the product—whether it is a simple hammer or a complex component or workpiece. Therefore, do not confuse the purpose of "basic experiments" with that of "research papers." One cannot expect a child just learning to walk to immediately engage in "100-meter sprints" or "pole vaults"; similarly, do not simply categorize experimental content as "qualitative experiments" or "quantitative experiments," or view it as merely "verifying theoretical course content." The key is to learn "basic skills." After completing an experiment, it is essential to summarize the results and conclusions in an experimental report. In addition to including the experimental purpose, principles, procedures, and results or conclusions, students should gradually develop the habit of analyzing and discussing experimental results, proposing their own interpretations, and laying the groundwork for writing research papers in the future.
