Patient's question:
I found myself experiencing frequent urination, urgency, and difficulty urinating again recently. I suspected it might be a problem with the prostate, so I went to the hospital for a thorough examination. The results confirmed it was a prostatic cyst.Doctor's answer:
Symptoms of prostatic cysts are commonly observed in clinical diagnosis as urinary or bowel obstruction. Urinary obstruction may lead to acute urinary retention. At times, thick secretions may flow from the urethra. Digital rectal examination may reveal a vibrating sensation in the prostate, though this often appears in later stages. Occasionally, abscesses may rupture into the urethra, rectum, perineum, or periurethral space, potentially causing connective tissue inflammation. However, some patients may not experience fever, primarily exhibiting lower urinary tract obstruction. Many patients also suffer from epididymitis and orchitis.
