How to determine if it is male infertility

Patient's question:

What should be paid attention to regarding male infertility? What are the symptoms of male infertility? Have I suffered from infertility? How can I make a diagnosis? What treatment options are available? What should be paid attention to regarding male infertility?

Doctor's answer:

Male infertility refers to infertility caused by male factors. Generally, if a couple lives together for about 2 years after marriage without any contraceptive measures and the woman remains pregnant, it is referred to as infertility. The incidence rate is around 10%. Among these cases, factors solely related to the female account for about 50%, factors solely related to the male account for about 30%, and factors involving both account for about 20%. In clinical diagnosis, male infertility is divided into two categories: sexual dysfunction and normal sexual function. The latter can be further classified based on semen analysis results into azoospermia, oligozoospermia, asthenozoospermia, teratozoospermia, and normozoospermic infertility.
