International terrorism and the struggle against terrorism

Author: Research Center for Counter-terrorism, China Institute of Modern International Relations
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2001-10-01
Features: Based on the author's views and understanding of terrorism, this book focuses on introducing various international perspectives and opinions on terrorism, including the counter-terrorism policies and principles of some countries, as well as measures in the fight against terrorism. Additionally, the book lists all "terrorist organizations" mentioned by international media over the past 30 years, serving as a platform for research on terrorism and providing reference for relevant studies and law enforcement personnel. The events of September 11, 2001, in the United States made the world truly realize the threat of terrorism. What was once just talk, with any actions being minor, is now entirely different—now, the terrifying sense of threat forces billions of people into constant fear. The Research Center for Counter-terrorism at the China Institute of Modern International Relations was established in the spring of 2001, and this book was published in September. Shortly after its release, the "9.11" incident occurred, prompting a rushed second printing. Objectively speaking, the book is not of high quality and is somewhat hastily compiled, merely published in response to the current situation.
