Features: This volume is divided into two parts. The first part is "Analytic Philosophy," and the second part is "Philosophy of Science." Each part begins with an introduction that outlines the origins, development, and key characteristics of analytic philosophy and philosophy of science, respectively. Then, each chapter is narrated by figures, with the figure as the main title and the subtitle highlighting the type and features of their philosophical thought. In reviewing the life, works, historical context, and main ideas of these figures, attention is also paid to their classification in philosophy, as well as their relationships of inheritance and critique. We attempt to combine the strengths of figure-based and school-based writing in this way. The task of this volume is to grasp substantive content without avoiding difficulties, to clarify key issues and main ideas, to truly delve into the thoughts of the philosophers being reviewed, while also striving to seek paths with a critical perspective, moving beyond their respective philosophical systems. In summary, our goal is to clearly elucidate the original thoughts of each philosopher while also striving to grasp the overall trends and developmental threads of 20th-century Anglo-American philosophy.
