Features: The Hui people are an important member of China's 56 ethnic families. The population of Hui people in Henan has reached one million, second only to Ningxia and Gansu. Due to the long-term mixed settlement of Hui and Han ethnic groups in our province, a close and mutually supportive relationship has been formed in production and daily life. The reform and opening-up policy has encouraged the Hui people to leverage their traditional advantages in business and pioneering spirit, actively relying on technological progress to transform and upgrade traditional industries. As a result, the economy and various social causes in Hui-inhabited areas have experienced rapid and significant changes, entering a new stage of comprehensive development and pursuing a well-off society. At the same time, unity, friendship, and mutual benefit among ethnic groups have become the norm, and the socialist ethnic relations of equality, unity, and mutual assistance have been continuously consolidated and developed. As people often say: Currently, it is the best period in history for ethnic unity and the fastest period for economic development. To create a better future, the vast majority of Hui people, under the leadership of the Party committees and governments at all levels, are holding high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory and, guided by the Important Thought of "Three Represents," are striving for greater achievements in the construction of material and spiritual civilization in our province.
