Features: This is a sonata for oboe, harpsichord, and basso continuo, and is a very important part of the author's entire chamber music (12 trios). The piece was first published in a musical score collection published after 1740, titled: "Musical Exercises - 12 solo pieces and 12 trios / composed by George Philipp Telemann for various instruments / discovered after the author's death." The score provided here is printed based on a copy of the edition from the collection of the German National Library in Berlin. This sonata sounds best when performed by four musicians, i.e., the score includes chord instruments with basso continuo, string instruments with basso continuo, or wind instruments with basso continuo. It can also be adapted in the following ways (for three musicians): 1. Oboe, harpsichord, and chord instruments with basso continuo. 2. Oboe, harpsichord, and string instruments with basso continuo or wind instruments with basso continuo.
