Features: Unlearned Cui Youxian, seeking to appear cultured, asks his younger brother Han Shixun to write a poem on a kite. The kite lands in the Jians' household, where the talented and beautiful second Miss Shujuan writes a poem on the kite to express her affections. Han Shixun admires Shujuan's talent and also goes kite-flying. In this episode, however, the kite lands in the hands of the sharp-tongued and unattractive eldest Miss Aijuan of the Jians' family. Aijuan takes the opportunity to throw herself at the handsome and talented Han Shixun, but Shixun flees in panic. The kite has led to a mismatched pairing: if the matchmaking god is aware, he has brought lovers together. On one side is the match between a talented scholar and a beautiful woman, a match made in heaven; on the other is the pairing of a foolish man with an unattractive woman, a natural fit. Sweet and harmonious, yet filled with squabbles, each has its own flavor, and all are delighted.
