What are the symptoms of epididymitis?

Patient's question:

I have been experiencing some pain in my lower abdomen recently, and it feels worse when I walk. My friend said it might be epididymitis. I want to understand what symptoms are associated with epididymitis?

Doctor's answer:

Orchitis is divided into two types: acute and chronic. The clinical manifestations of acute orchitis mainly include initial discomfort in the scrotum, which can radiate to the ipsilateral groin and lower abdomen, worsening during urination or standing. The scrotum swells rapidly, with significant tenderness and edema and redness of the scrotal skin. In the early stage, the boundary between the testis and epididymis is clear, but later they fuse into two masses with unclear boundaries. If pus is formed, there is a sense of vibration locally, and it may rupture spontaneously, forming a fistula. It can be accompanied by high fever and general malaise.
