Features: The "Southeast Asian Economic and Trade Law Research Series" organized and compiled by Yunnan Province is set to be released to the public. This series was compiled to support the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and provide Chinese enterprises, organizations, and individuals with knowledge and basic information about the legal systems and situations of the target countries. The series consists of twenty-one volumes, with the volume titled "ASEAN" introducing and explaining the basic situation of ASEAN, selecting important agreements, conventions, and other legal documents since its establishment. The remaining twenty volumes are economic and trade law guides and selections for the ten ASEAN countries. The series provides detailed guidance from a legal perspective on how to engage in economic and trade activities in the ten ASEAN countries. It offers a detailed introduction to the legal regulations of ASEAN countries concerning foreign enterprise investment, trade, engineering contracts, and other aspects. It also helps businesses, organizations, and individuals going to ASEAN countries understand the industrial policies, tax policies, investment environments, and operational rules of the target countries. The series provides a detailed explanation of the regulations regarding labor markets, capital markets, and natural resource development in the target countries. The series will help Chinese enterprises, organizations, and individuals comply with the legal systems of the target countries and use legal means to protect their legitimate rights and interests. Additionally, each volume introduces the legal systems for handling business disputes, litigation, and arbitration that may occur in the target countries. We believe that the series will serve as a valuable reference tool for businesses going global and will also provide a valuable foundational resource for scholars and legal professionals (including lawyers providing cross-border legal services) studying the legal systems of ASEAN countries. Premier Wen Jiabao once stated: "The next 15 years will be a period of great development for China and ASEAN. The 'China-ASEAN Free Trade Area' will be the most promising free trade area in the world, with approximately 100 million consumers and a total trade volume of 1.2 trillion US dollars. The comprehensive development process of this trade area has already been initiated. An increasing number of visionary Chinese enterprises are using the ten ASEAN countries as important bases to implement their 'going global' strategy and participate in international competition. At the same time, how to invest legally, how to effectively utilize the preferential policies of the target countries, and how to protect their rights and interests have become topics of concern for Chinese enterprises. Yunnan Province organized and compiled this 'Southeast Asian International Economic and Trade Law Research Series.' As a 'Key Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Project of Yunnan Province in 2005,' the series provides detailed guidance from a legal perspective on how to engage in economic and trade activities in the ten ASEAN countries, compiled by hundreds of scholars and practitioners. The series consists of twenty-one volumes, with the volume titled 'ASEAN' selecting various important legal documents since the establishment of ASEAN; the remaining twenty volumes are selections and guides on the economic and trade laws of the ten ASEAN countries, with the former compiling important legal documents of each country and the latter providing detailed interpretations of the documents in an easy-to-understand manner. The series is an indispensable reference tool for modern enterprises investing in ASEAN and a valuable resource for scholars and cross-border legal professionals studying ASEAN's legal systems.
