Features: The "Southeast Asia Economic and Trade Legal Studies Series" organized and compiled by Yunnan Province is set to be released gradually. This series is compiled to support the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, providing legal system knowledge and basic information about target countries for various Chinese enterprises, organizations, and individuals implementing the "Go Global" strategy. The series consists of twenty-one volumes, with the volume titled "ASEAN" introducing and explaining the basic situation of ASEAN, selecting important agreements, conventions, and other legal documents since its establishment. The remaining twenty volumes are economic and trade legal guides and selections for the ten ASEAN countries. The series offers detailed guidance from a legal perspective on how to conduct economic and trade activities in the ten ASEAN countries. It provides a detailed introduction to the legal regulations of foreign enterprise investment, trade, and engineering contracting in the ten ASEAN countries, helping businesses, organizations, and individuals going to ASEAN to master the industrial policies, tax policies, investment environments, and operational rules of the target countries. The series also provides a detailed elaboration on the regulations concerning labor markets, capital markets, and natural resource development in the target countries. The series will help Chinese enterprises, organizations, and individuals comply with the legal systems of the target countries and use legal means to protect their legitimate rights and interests. Additionally, each volume introduces the legal systems for handling commercial disputes, litigation, and arbitration that may arise in the target countries. We believe that the series will serve as a reference tool for businesses going global and will also provide valuable foundational materials for scholars and legal professionals (including lawyers providing cross-border legal services) studying the legal systems of ASEAN countries. Premier Wen Jiabao once pointed out that the next 15 years will be a period of great development for China and ASEAN. The "China-ASEAN Free Trade Area" will be the most promising free trade area globally, with approximately 100 million consumers and a total trade volume of 1.2 trillion US dollars. The full construction of this trade area has already been initiated. More and more visionary Chinese enterprises are choosing the ten ASEAN countries as important bases for implementing the "Go Global" strategy and participating in international competition. At the same time, how to invest legally, how to effectively utilize preferential policies of the target countries, and how to protect their rights and interests have become topics of concern for Chinese enterprises. Yunnan Province organized and compiled this "Southeast Asia International Economic and Trade Legal Studies Series." As a "Key Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Project of Yunnan Province in 2005," the series provides detailed guidance from a legal perspective on how to conduct economic and trade activities in the ten ASEAN countries, compiled by hundreds of scholars and practitioners. The series consists of twenty-one volumes, with the volume titled "ASEAN" selecting various important legal documents since the establishment of ASEAN; the remaining twenty volumes are economic and trade legal selections and guides for the ten ASEAN countries, with the former compiling important legal documents of each country and the latter providing detailed and accessible interpretations of these documents. The series is an indispensable reference tool for modern enterprises investing in ASEAN and a valuable resource for scholars and cross-border legal professionals studying ASEAN's legal systems.
