Features: This set of A Concise History of China is a reading material designed to popularize Chinese history knowledge among teenagers. I believe that even non-teenagers, such as history and literature enthusiasts, would benefit from reading this series. Compared to the massive Comprehensive History of China, which spans millions of words, each volume in this series only contains about 100,000 words, with a total of eight volumes, adding up to only several hundred thousand words, hence the name Concise History. More importantly, this book is not a historical anecdote, nor is it the sensationalized history that is (: spreading like wildfire) and could lead to disastrous consequences. Instead, it is a serious and rigorous comprehensive history work, simply aiming to be as concise and accessible as possible. Each volume is written by experts and scholars specializing in specific historical periods, making this series a popular reading material written by experts. I cannot guarantee that every volume is as smooth as flowing clouds or as brilliant as a flowing pen. But I can guarantee that each author has firmly grasped the historical context, condensed the main content of the period-specific history, and presented it clearly and comprehensively, leaving nothing to the imagination. The facts are accurate. Readers are reading reliable history. The last chapter of each volume provides an overview of the world during the same historical period. If readers complete the entire series, they will clearly see how our great China, once a powerful nation on the world stage, gradually declined until the final collapse of the Celestial Empire—the fall of the Qing Dynasty.
