Features: The Party Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources attaches great importance to theoretical research activities on the advanced nature of the Party. Minister Zhou Ningcheng made important instructions, requiring all Party organizations at all levels to seriously organize and study the major strategic thoughts of the Party Central Committee on strengthening the advanced nature of the Party. They should focus on the theme of advanced nature construction and the actual work of water resources, carry out in-depth theoretical research activities on the advanced nature of the Party, promote the advanced nature construction of the Party in the water resources sector, and provide ideological and political guarantees for the comprehensive advancement of sustainable water management. At the National Water Resources System Spiritual Civilization Construction Conference held at the end of 2005, specific arrangements were made for the theoretical research work. In early 2006, the Office of the Guidance Committee for Spiritual Civilization Construction of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources directly under the Ministry jointly issued a notice, making specific arrangements for the essay competition to be held in the entire water resources system. This event received more than 200 papers, which centered on the theme of the theoretical research activities, closely integrated with the professional work of water resources, and focused on in-depth reflection from two aspects: summarizing the experience of advanced nature education activities and theoretical thinking, as well as theoretical exploration on strengthening the advanced nature of the Party. The content covered various aspects, including the ideological, organizational, style, and institutional construction of the Party, as well as serving the construction of a new socialist countryside and establishing the socialist concept of honor and disgrace.
