Features: Family Movie is a winning work of the 1997 Kawabata Ryunosuke Literary Prize. It depicts a long-divided family that reunites after 20 years, solely for the sake of their sister, who has always played the role of a porn actress, to reinvent herself and start anew by producing a family documentary. Thus, parents and children gather together. Although the script is pre-written, there are always new conflicts, and the story is never lacking in new sorrows. Midsummer tells the story of a woman who leaves her three-year with a married man. High Tide narrates the tale of a young girl who is bullied after transferring to a new school.
