Features: This book was written based on the "Logic and Critical Thinking" course offered at Peking University and the China Youth Political College. In the fall of 2003, "Logic and Critical Thinking" was first offered as an elective course at Peking University and incorporated into the summer school curriculum in 2004. Since 2004, it has been taught in two sessions annually. The spring session primarily targets students under the "Yuanpei Plan," while the summer session mainly serves first-year undergraduates from other departments. In the fall of 2000, China Youth Political College began reforming its "General Logic" course, gradually transitioning toward "Critical Thinking," and by the fall of 2003, it synchronized with Peking University in offering the "Logic and Critical Thinking" course. This textbook is one of the sub-projects under the Ministry of Education's "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" logic textbook series project, undertaken by the Logic Research Office of the Department of Philosophy at Peking University. To better fulfill this task, in addition to teaching practice and theoretical discussions, the design and writing of the textbook attempted to meet the requirements of the three characters "、、."
