Academic progress is achieved through continuous debate and scrutiny. Therefore, civil law scholars should regularly engage in exchanges, discussions, and mutual learning. Only in this way can our civil law research truly improve. Third, we should encourage creative work and original research. The original research mentioned here does not necessarily mean that all viewpoints and ideas are entirely new or have never been expressed by others. Rather, it refers to proposing unique perspectives and insights after careful thought and thorough research, which hold value for the development of the nation and society. Fourth, in terms of research methods, we should focus on absorbing and adopting new and effective research methods, such as those from economics and sociology.
After the establishment of the Society, it was unanimously agreed that the Society should have its own academic publications, facilitating mutual exchanges and showcasing the latest research achievements in civil law to the public. After thorough deliberation, the Society decided to establish the China Civil Law Annual. As the Society's first academic publication, it will be supported by the Civil Law Research Association of the China Society of Law. Its aim is to present annual research achievements in civil law, provide an academic platform for civil law scholars, and enhance academic exchanges. Articles in this journal are all original and reflect the high level of civil law research for that year. In the future, the Society will prioritize selecting outstanding papers for awards from the Annual.
